It’s been said that looking great is the best revenge.

Jessica Simpson performed just last night at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, FL. Without a word to her critics for a weight debate that caused her sister Ashlee to blog her disgust at the reports, Jessica strutted across the stage in short Daisy Dukes.

The singer took a bashing on several blogs after being snapped in an unflattering outfit earlier this year. She later addressed the controversy by thanking a concert crowd in Charlottesville, VA, for their support. “Stay positive,” she added, “and pray out loud.”

There are many differences between mesotherapy and liposuction. The following are just a few of the differences:

1. Mesotherapy is limited in the amount of fat it can remove and it is not beneficial to areas of significant fat accumulation.  Liposuction is designed to remove large amounts of fat.

2. Mesotherapy results are very patient specific. Not all patients respond the same. Patients  who tend to be active  and healthy seem to respond the best over a course of treatments. Liposuction is more consistent since the fat is mechanically removed. Typically larger quantities of may be removed with liposuction whereas  mesotherapy targets smaller specific areas.  Liposuction, though, poses a significantly greater risk since the patient undergoes either local or general anesthesia.

3. With Mesotherapy, if a patient regains weight, the fat cells that were treated simply get large again and the previously treated area regains it’s normal size. With Liposuction, since the fat cells were removed, other areas of the body can accumulate fat if significant weight is regained. Typically this occurs under the upper arm, the back, and the thighs.

LipoDissolve is a non-surgical fat removal treatment which involves injecting a natural enzyme solution and soy product called phosphatidylcholine deoxycholate, or PCDC. The ingredient PCDC has been used in many medical applications since the 1950s. Lipodissolve involves a series of micro-injections using PCDC in order to permanently dissolve fat in undesired areas. LipoDissolve injections have also been used to improve the appearance of cellulite. It is known to be safe and is an alternative to surgical procedures such as liposuction.  Lipodissolve differs  from mesotherapy in that it involves injections of medicines deeper into the fat. LipoDissolve is primarily used to decrease localized fat deposits.

Mesotherapy is a non surgical medical procedure that involves injecting microscopic amounts of natural ingredients, homeopathic agents, vitamins and pharmaceuticals into the skin. Mesotherapy can be used to eliminate cellulite, promote weight loss, treat aging skin and sagging skin. Mesotherapy is a non surgical procedure used to remove cellulite, reduce fat as compared to liposuction which is a cosmetic surgery that requires anesthesia.

Liposuction does not remove cellulite. In fact, liposuction often causes existing cellulite to appear more prominent. Mesotherapy treats the cellulite directly, reducing fat while promoting smoother skin and in targeted areas. The fat deposits are flushed from the body, and do not reappear in other areas, which often appears after liposuction.

Joan Rivers  has long based her act on her life  and bodily imperfections.  Her new book, Men Are Stupid . . . and They Like Big Boobs: A Woman’s Guide to Beauty Through Plastic Surgery,  pulls no punches, discussing the effects of aging.  Rivers admits that in the past 40 years she has had two face-lifts, breast reduction, a nose job, a tummy tuck, eye lifts, arm and leg lifts and liposuction, in addition to Botox injections, wrinkle fill-ins, skin resurfacing and lip plumping.  She is 75 years old.  What do you think?
